District 3 Local Assistance is providing a 2-hour ADA Training on June 3, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
This training will focus on the (5) administrative requirements that are required for any Title 2 Agency (any public agency that provides a public service and receives funding). These (5) requirements are: Transition Plan; ADA Complaint Procedure; ADA Coordinator; Public Notice; and Self Evaluation. We will also be discussing the Local Agency ADA Annual Certification Form (Exhibit 9-C from the LAPM) which must be received prior to submitting a “Request for Authorization” to proceed with a federal-aid project.
We strongly recommend that if you haven’t already attended this training to take full advantage of this opportunity. ADA compliance is a very big topic right now with FHWA and these administrative requirements must be met in order for us to continue to authorize your projects.
